Brothers Harry and Mario Kapoulas have been weaving a special kind of magic at this charming corner cafe since opening in 2008. This lively, atmospheric space is bustling from the minute it opens, as everyone from caff-fiends to post-beach punters vie for tables that pour onto the footpath. While HAM is perennially popular for panini, pastries and plates of antipasti, the gluten-intolerant now also gather for wild raspberry tartlets or Greek shortbread. Feast on one of mum Kitty’s homemade chicken and mushroom pies with their rich, earthy gravy filling, and leave with a few slices of her spiced pear and raspberry loaf.
