Hobba Coffee & Kitchen

An old garage bites the dust and a cafe with third-wave coffee and edgy food is born. Hobba scores high on cafe cred with its bare brick walls, exposed beams, raw timber and mishmash of seating. Service is pleasant and helpful- a large mixed juice with a hint of ginger and mint is willingly divided in two. A quinoa salad with roasted beet and braised lamb may fail to arrive warm as promised, but harissa yoghurt dressing adds a different type of heat. Broad beans make a clever contrast to light chickpea fritters with lentil hummus. A great range of coffees and oodles of potential from a young team.
