As sweet as it sounds, Honey & Coco is named after the owner's dogs. The cosy space in the shadow of the Newport overpass has a tiny 'kitchen' behind the counter that turns out egg-and-bacon bagels, cranberry granola and a good old-fashioned grilled cheese on toast, as well as daily specials such as poached eggs with avocado, red onion and rocket on toasted Turkish bread. Delano supplies the house blend and a single origin that changes every couple of weeks; a Colombia Supremo as a short black ($3.80) is a full, slightly sweet hit of fruit with a hint of chocolate to finish.
