Blaring music and wall-to-wall suits are enough to make you think twice before ordering at the Hotel CBD. But this inner-city watering hole comes up trumps for serving size and decent pub grub, including a Blackmore wagyu reuben sandwich with pickles, or a fisherman's basket for $18. There are also some attractive vegetarian options, including an eggplant lasagne with green salad. The fine-dining option upstairs includes an extensive wine list and English-born head chef Jeremy Strode serves up a carnivore's dream in the stuffed pig's trotter and fish supreme in the snapper and globe artichokes.
