It’s Thai

Thai$$

On a quiet suburban lane lies a comfortable local favourite. Tea lights, Buddha sculptures and antique screens adorn the small room with a big menu. Usual suspects such as pad Thai and tom yum are listed alongside curiosities such as fig lamb and macadamia prawns. Entrees tend towards deep-fried morsels, but the vibrant textures of banana flower and prawn salad make a worthy alternative to fish cakes and money bags. With the chilli dial set to low, massaman lamb lacked punch. Stir-fried pork belly with chilli and basil, however, hits its sweet and spicy notes commendably.
