Jasmin 1 Punchbowl

Jasmine 1 is a stellar package with its unpretentious food and opulent decor - from the enormous wall murals right up to the ornate ceilings. Food-wise, the Lebanese classics are made to share, tear at and dip into, such as the huge mixed platter, which includes juicy chicken shawarma, crunchy falafel with a buttery soft interior, spicy kofta, chunky hummus, a platter of colourful pickles and zippy tabbouleh. Fattoush salad is full of verve, bursting with fresh flavours and the crunch of toasted pita bread pieces, and there's nothing subtle about the smoky baba ghanoush. Efficient staff seem to sincerely enjoy feeding people and, judging by the bloated but happy diners, they like being fed too.
