Jazushi

Japanese$$

You might come for sushi, but you'll stay for the jazz. From live vocal soloists to quirky accordion players, there's a new artist playing in the candlelit dining room each night. It's got to be one of the best-value date nights in Surry Hills. The menu features sushi and sashimi classics such as inside-out spicy tuna, nigiri and nori rolls as well as fusion specialities. Try the kakuni kurobuta pork belly, marinated overnight and braised in a soy dashi, dark and richly flavoured, perfect with freshly steamed rice, or Jazushi fried chicken (JFC) served with yuzu citrus sauce. A private dining room and outdoor terrace upstairs are great for groups.
