Joe’s Pizzeria Arax

Lebanese$$

After 25 years of trade, this diminutive pizzeria and Lebanese food spot is still going strong. A recent spruce-up including sleek new signage has added some sheen, but it’s the food, low prices and casual vibe that have kept regulars faithful. Joe Khawam flips dough in the front window, and slides ham-and-pineapple or hot sejouk beef pizzas out of the ovens, while his family serves up hearty and healthy Lebanese fare including dishes of smoky babaghanoush, creamy and garlicky hummus or tangy tabbouleh, followed by sticky baklava. Kebabs and felafel come wrapped or plated up with salads and sides.
