You know you’re in hipster headquarters when even the sushi train place does dark decor, mood lighting and chilled soundtrack. All the better to highlight the bright sculpted parcels sitting prettily on their colour-coded plates. The usual fare of salmon, tuna, chicken or briny scallop sushi and sashimi are all available off-the-track. But be alert to the occasional plate of soft-shell crab sushi and other less familiar fare. An a la carte menu offers much more, from udon noodles and gyoza pungent with chives to a golden grilled eggplant with miso that proves beyond doubt vegetarian dishes can be as rich as their meatier brethren.
