Kere Kere South

Contemporary

Kere Kere South is a cafe driven by more than just a passion for food, coffee and making a buck - and it shows. Set up by social worker James Murphy to raise funds for community wellbeing and provide employment for young people facing barriers to finding work, the cafe is a warm and inviting place, passionate and compassionate all at once. Food is simple - think ham, cheese, tomato and chutney toasties on Dench bread, a Noisette demi-baguette of the day or Phillippa's granola with poached rhubarb. The house blend espresso has a medium body, a mildly fruity front and a gentle toast finish. Also at Melbourne Uni.
