A great udon noodle soup is like an empty parking spot in Chinatown: you know they're around but you always seem to miss them. At least we can guarantee you the soup - Kura's tempura udon is just beautiful: a light seaweed-dazzled broth with a strong, clean flavour and battered parcels of prawn, eggplant, pumpkin and onion. Sprinkle on some chilli flakes, add a splash of soy and say konichiwa to true satisfaction. An impressive array of well-priced dishes will have you guzzling generous plates of sushi, sashimi and rice bowls full of egg, grilled eel and deep-fried chicken.
