Lady Bower Kitchen

Contemporary

As hipsterdom makes its relentless march northwards, it’s inevitable that in central Reservoir you’ll find an establishment full of Things Hipster: quirky retro homewares, artificial turf, crafty nanna-inspired bits and bobs … Luckily, hipsters like good food. Lady Bower sprawls through three interconnected, haphazardly furnished rooms. The philosophy here is wholesome, house-made and full of flavour: perhaps a brunch of slow-cooked, fall-apart lamb on pillowy Turkish bread with fresh beetroot relish and carrot puree. Breakfasts run the gamut from a creamy rice pudding with raspberries to the ‘breakfast of champions’ with both meatballs and chorizo beans.
