Le Miel et la Lune

Korean$$

The name might be French, but the menu has more of an Asian bent thanks to Korean chef Jung Eun Chae, formerly of Proud Mary. Good coffee comes from Proud Mary too, but everything else is pleasingly idiosyncratic, from the seasonal Asian specials, with pickled vegetables and miso featuring prominently, to well-executed, beautifully presented variations on cafe staples, like a chorizo omelette with spinach, cheddar and tomato relish. A small selection of sweets is made in-house, like a moist, fresh and generously iced carrot cake. Sit at the communal front table under big bay windows and enjoy service that is attentive but never intrusive.
