Little Bean Blue's stark concrete-and-steel space changed hands midway through 2012 when it was taken over by ex-Axil barista Jerry Kolovos. The menu offers a collection of tasty mouthfuls - think muffins and croissants and a homely toasted ham and cheese croissant. But the food at LBB is not the main game: these guys are about coffee. Their always-changing single origins and blends come from Axil, one of Melbourne's best roasters. An Ethiopia Sidamo Guji espresso has medium body and a lightly sour taste throughout that ends with a strong hint of grapefruit.
