As The Castle's Darryl Kerrigan would say, 'How's the serenity?' Chippendale heads skywards with the Central Park redevelopment amid the roar of Regent and Abercrombie streets, making Little Queen Cafe a bunker of Zen-like calm. It's not particularly queenly apart from the Union Jack seat covers, but still draws clued-up workers and local creatives for Allpress coffee ($3.20) that's smooth and strong. There's big takeaway trade, but soothing music, design magazines and helpful staff make lingering a better alternative. More incentive comes from white chocolate and blueberry muffins, or the prosciutto, watermelon, mint and lentil salad.
