Mediterranean$$

There are some restaurants that entire communities revolve around: this is one of those places. Mountains of food, from tapas to pasta, pizza and other mains, are delivered, cheerfully and expertly, to the happy crowd in the classic bistro-styled room. And it's decent, good-value tucker, too: zucchini fritters, prosciutto-wrapped haloumi, kataifi-wrapped prawns and more - all of it substantial and much of it excellent, particularly the desserts. Pizza as pud is topped with Belgian chocolate and strawberries, and having to choose between Spanish (churros) and Greek (loukoumades) doughnuts late in the day can be a tough call.
