Loose Goose

The offspring of mod-Brit restaurant Papa Goose can be reached via a laneway entrance or a quick shimmy through the dining room. At the top of the stairs there's a serious length of bar, bench seating and a sizeable leather lounge overlooking Flinders Lane. Dark woods and rusty brown tones providing an easy aesthetic transition from the restaurant. Cocktails include interesting aperitif- and digestif-based numbers such as Checkout Charlie, with vodka and Lillet Blanc, or Night Cat, which teams amaro, amaretto and blood orange. The bar menu leans towards well-cooked comfort food such as Welsh rarebit and duck liver parfait.
