Los Latinos is a slightly weird and totally wonderful slice of Latin America shoehorned into a suburban shopping strip. Familiar dishes include a delicious fajitas combination - beef and chicken fried with onions, chipotle and salsa roja, served with rice and soft tortillas. Lesser-known dishes include yuca frita, fried cassava with a spicy tomato sauce. A contender for world’s greatest comfort dish, Arepas de Masorca is a stonking spread of corn fritters, chorizo and melted cheese. Kids are kept happy with the mixed papusas, tortillas stuffed with cheese and black beans. Also in Ascot Vale.
