Lowlands

Lowlands' just-so presentation, all refined brightness and minimalist hominess, is a clue: coffee and tea are no casual affair here. Coffees are carefully curated from a few trusted roasters, with beans changing regularly. The house espresso is spritzy, with cherry notes and a soft molasses finish; there'll also be a feature coffee by a guest roaster - Seven Seeds, Mecca Roastworks, Proud Mary and Market Lane - offered as pourover and cold press, too. Tea is treated with similar reverence, with a selection of teas brewed to precise time and temperature specifications. Sip it out back in one of the north's most charming courtyards.
