Lucio Pizzeria

Italian$$

Despite a lack of signage, Lucio’s reputation is such that tables fill from the moment it opens (a no-bookings policy also helps generate the early rush). Pizza lovers flock for the light and chewy Neapolitan wood-fired pizza. Beyond traditional toppings such as marinara and bufalina, there are several ‘pizze della casa’. The two-in-one Lucio, for instance, marries a flat margherita with a ricotta and ham-stuffed calzone (the calzone can grow soggy if not eaten quickly). Starters include fried calamari served on brown paper and involtini di melanzane - grilled eggplant rolled with ham, provolone dolce, cherry tomatoes and pesto.
