There's little that doesn't speak of professionalism at this laneway spot that serves up a dose of urban design attitude alongside fine coffee from a La Marzocco, using 8 Oz and Coffee Cartel beans. There's detailed latte art, but that pales in comparison to a flavour profile that is intensely nutty with earthy cocoa notes and not a hint of bitterness on the palate. Food, too, shines. The hero is a toss-up between a fruit and nut bagel barely holding its mound of mixed berry mascarpone, and a bagel towering with thick-sliced pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing.
