Mancini's

Kids roam free and groups are welcome in this busy, no-frills restaurant. The menu is nothing out of the ordinary, but it's ordinary done well. Start with bruschetta rubbed generously with garlic and topped with ripe tomato, or mussels in napoletana sauce. There are hearty pasta dishes and mains, such as spicy penne arrabbiata and six kinds of veal scallopine. But it's pizza the crowds come for: wood-fired with puffy crusts and stretchy mozzarella. All the usual choices are there plus gourmet options such as the casalinga, with prosciutto, artichoke, mushroom and basil. For dessert there's tiramisu, Nutella pizza and yummy gelato flavours including rocky road.
