This outpost of Market Lane's South Yarra roastery maintains all the coffee nous of the original in a cosier, more intimate format. It's a small space with a few stools and bench seating: you could be at home in your own kitchen, if not for the incredible coffee aromas and excellent Dench and Dolcetti pastries. The seasonal espresso blend is reliable, and these guys excel with single origins - maybe a rich El Salvador Miravalle, perfectly extracted with cherry, orange and chocolate notes. Pourover and filter options extend the choice, and market-watching provides the entertainment.
