McKenzie Ebbels Foodstore

Part foodstore, part cafe, McKenzie Ebbels champions local produce selling it by the kilo or, perhaps, in a salad, as with 'Mr Moran's tomatoes'. These tasty toms may come in a simple but stunning salad (good olives, breathtaking pickled sweet red onion) accompanying an organic silverbeet and three-cheese tart. Other offerings on the short blackboard menu may be lamb korma with rice and pappadums or poached chicken baguette with lemon mayo. For a late brekkie, there's fruit toast with honey. The fire's always burning when the weather is cold, and there are always sweet temptations- chocolate brownie cake. McKenzie Ebbels is a local champion.
