Mim's is the little cafe that could: the coffee is brewed with care, the service easy and understated, and the quality of the food prepared by chef Paul Camilleri (ex-Sojourn and Banc) pulls a loyal local crowd, including the odd former Australian cricketer. Choose from a scatter of cosy tables near the bifold windows and settle in for a mango and blueberry muffin and a rich, buttery Deluca caffe latte ($3.50) that delivers dark chocolate and hazelnut flavours and a hint of citrus and spice. Find an excuse to return at lunchtime for a sourdough sandwich plump with pork belly and a slick of house-made apple sauce.
