Mina-no-ie

Japanese$$

The sister to Keele Street's Cibi has transformed a vacant warehouse into a minimal, stylish, convivial space. In the open-air kitchen is owner Megumi Tanaka, working against a backdrop of handmade ceramics, preparing her signature dishes - healthy, organic, simple home-style cooking with a Japanese fingerprint. Under glass domes are delicate goodies like matcha (green tea) pound cake with sweet azuki beans to pair with an espresso (good crema and bright citrus notes). Good taste flows through the entire cafe, from the food to the timber furniture to the elegant men's store, Epatant, that shares the warehouse space.
