Miss Jackson

Modern Australian$$

Sitting at Miss Jackson couldn’t feel further away from the St Kilda hullaballoo. You’re greeted by a calm courtyard before stepping up into the cool, Scandi whiteness of this cafe with its lovely alcoves and handsome wooden floors saturated in natural light. Relax over a breakfast of aromatic porridge with star anise or creamy leek and potato hash with smoked trout propped on verdant smashed peas. Lunch on warm lentil salad with tangy pickled beets, perhaps a restrained reuben or maybe a panko-crumbed chicken schnitzel burger with fennel slaw. Service is jovial and coffee is excellent, as is the house-baked carrot cake.
