Murrumbateman Country Inn

14/20

Pub dining$$

There is a real community feel to this pub, where the dining area and public bar are in one barn-like room. A roaring fire keeps diners cosy in winter and adds a cheerful ambience. It's a comfortable space for families and the blackboard menu includes burgers and chicken nuggets for kids. Meal serves are big but not at the expense of quality. An entree of crumbed prawns has six succulent prawns with a delicate crumb coating, steaks are flavoursome and perfectly cooked, and there's a good selection of desserts including apple pie with homespun appeal as well as more creative specials.
