From The Land of Smiles comes this groovy, buzzy place tucked into a quiet corner of Surry Hills. The name means ‘little glutton’, but come prepared to be a big fat one; their enticing menu does that to a person. Pineapple fried rice with prawns, raisins and pork floss comes heaped in a hollowed-out pineapple; pork belly with snake beans in phrik khing paste is crunchy, rich and spicy in all the right places; and the banana flower salad, drenched in a sweet, salty, nutty dressing and punctuated with the crunch of cashews and mouthfuls of prawn, is sublime. Staff are uniformly terrific.
