Naked Espresso Bar

Contemporary

If the name isn't enough of a clue, the portafilters in the front window and stovetop espresso bases used as sugar bowls reveal the focus. Backing it up are house-roasted beans brewed however you fancy: espresso (naked - using a bottomless portafilter), Aeropress, pourover and siphon. The 'mega choc' house blend lives up to its name, while a siphon of Kenyan has subtle grape flavours and a brown sugar finish. Close to the crowded Hardware Street precinct, Naked Espresso lets quality do the talking. Staff are friendly, a blackboard menu offers sandwiches and jaffles with tasty fillings such as salami, bocconcini and pesto - but coffee is king.
