Italian$$$

Some restaurants bank on scenic views and leave menus as an afterthought, but Otto strongly rewards both sightlines and appetites. At this breezy establishment, the harbourside aspect gets heavyweight competition from the hyper-vivid beetroot ravioli, frilled and adorned with beetroot cubes, baby parsley, shredded horseradish and crumbled pistachio. Then there's the fettuccine, layered with hazelnuts, micro herbs and truffle shavings as lacy and beautiful as butterfly wings. The glossy yolk in the centre invites forkfuls of ingredient-mixing twirls and unlocks the rich flavour of it all. The ultra-smoky chicken ragu, served with paccheri (pasta tubes), isn't quite the eye-pleaser, but, like the lamb backstrap with eggplant, fetta and olive croutons, its full-on flavours more than make up for the lack of visual appeal. Don't miss the popcorn sorbet. With caramelised semifreddo as its co-star, and candied popcorn in support, it makes for a cinematic finale.
