Paddington Inn

Contemporary$$

Ras el hanout may sound like Batman’s mentor, but it’s actually a mix of Moroccan spices, and just one of many global terms on the Paddo Inn’s ambitious menu. You may also need translations for mojo picon (Spanish garlic and paprika sauce, served with shredded pork and tortillas), salmariglio (Italian lemon, garlic and oregano dressing, served with green beans and fetta), and baharat (a Turkish mix of coriander, cumin and mint, served with lamb and eggplant salad). The chef’s triumph is an excellent chicken, almond and cinnamon pie baked in filo pastry, though a swordfish special on the popular 2-for-1 Tuesdays was an expensive ($27), overcooked disappointment.
