You have to be an early bird to beat the Hillsongers and the design-savvy shoppers to a coveted car space within cooee of this interior design hub and its light-filled ground floor cafe. But you'll need the exercise to and from the car anyway, because French patissier Vincent Gahan's sweet and savoury treats go from a three-cheese souffle and a cheesy croque-monsieur to some very pretty pastries designed for your own interior. Vittoria's Oro blend caffe lattes ($3.50) could be creamier, but they do the job, fuelling fantasies of booking a food tour of Provence (see the website) with the seductive Frenchman.
