Peking Inn

Chinese$$

This north shore institution’s aged decor speaks to the restaurant’s longevity as home of three of the finest Chinese duck dishes in Sydney. Locals gather in large groups to partake of either the tea-smoked duck served with fluffy white buns, an aromatic twice-cooked duck that has been steamed and then deep-fried to crisp, or the Peking duck, a deliciously hands-on experience of duck served two ways, with pancakes and hoisin sauce, followed by san choi boa or northern-style stir-fried noodles. The service is brusque but efficient, and be sure to book for weekend visits, or risk finding no room at the Inn.
