Penny Farthing Espresso

Cafe$$

Penny Farthing has a freewheeling vibe. There’s an equal balance of communal and individual tables in quietly quirky surrounds, a menu dotted with trending ingredients, and baristas who throw themselves into the job. The cafe’s love of coffee is also expressed in a generous antipasto plate of black espresso bread, beer-soaked figs, chorizo and blackberry jam. Lunch might deliver oolong tea salad with chia, quinoa, rockmelon sprouts and cider-soaked cranberries for sweetness. Dinner cranks up a further gear with crisp-skinned duck leg on vivid orange and sweet potato puree. It’s a cruisy ride.
