Percy’s Aeroplane

Cafe$$

Percy’s is knockabout charming, with a sunshine-yellow toy aeroplane hanging from the high ceiling, a world map chalked on a blackboard, brekkie till 2pm and a rich house blend on the espresso machine. Take off with French fruit toast or bircher, or go the long-haul with a lavish pile of salty bacon resting on a herb roesti with poached egg, a rich capsicum, anchovy and garlic sauce, and avocado. For lunch, check the display fridge for sandwiches and baguettes. For something sweet, there’s gooey, hazelnut-laden brownies. Add a leafy courtyard out back and Percy’s is a fine way to fly.
