Petaling Street

Malaysian

Follow your nose and you'll land at Petaling Street, a Malaysian hawker-style joint on the Glen's hectic eat street. The cacophony of chopping, grinding and sizzling out back is testament to the authentic, fresh food out front. It's hard to resist classic dishes such as nasi goreng (fried rice with egg and seafood) and roti chanai, with flaky flatbread to mop up the luxuriously thick, pungent curry sauce that clings to fall-off-the-bone chicken pieces. Basic decor is enhanced by the atmospheric hum of patrons and their chopstick fury. Also Box Hill, City and Hawthorn.
