A surprise packet in the truest sense of the phrase, Piknik is a modern roadhouse with enough class to be the spark for the journey, not simply a mid-point on the way to somewhere better. Stop for coriander-rich lamb and pumpkin curry, whose coconut base does nothing to hide the background chilli heat. Wine and beer are distinctly local.
