Pint of Milk

Contemporary$$

You'd think an isolated corner opposite Newport Park an unpromising place for a slick little food spot, but the Pint is attacking the challenge with gusto and it has a knack for the can't-go-past-it menu item. Take the rosewater meringue with spiced berries, passionfruit curd, vanilla labna and candied pistachios- that's breakfast, not dessert. Otherwise, come for a lunch of spicy lamb kofta with a quinoa tabbouleh and the smokiest baba ghanoush in town, or an open Parisian steak sandwich on brioche. Outdoor tables can be noisy from passing traffic but indoors is comfortable with big raw-wood tables, dark chairs and lots of light.
