Perpetually packed, Newport’s favourite pizza parlour puts smiles on dials with its welcoming staff and simple surrounds. Crisp arancini, bulbous with spinach, prosciutto and mozzarella, commence proceedings nicely, followed by an extensive pizza and pasta offering. Go classic margherita with blotches of molten fior di latte and pretty slivers of torn basil, or blow your stack with the Vesuvius, arguably the hottest pizza in town, with spicy salami and an intense green and red chilli sauce. Particularly kind to kids: the bambini menu doubles as a colouring-in page, and there are highchairs and gelato galore.
