Pub dining$$
It all starts with the hearty, chunky Irish stew. Tick. Then tender lamb shanks are even better, saturated in a rich, red wine based gravy. Both are served with crusty fresh bread – perfect for mopping up the velvety sauces. The Irish are known for their hearty and flavour some dishes, and here the chef is getting it very right, and catering to a mostly Irish expat crowd judging by the accents heard around the large space. Desserts are home-made –bread and (very) buttery pudding comes straight out of the oven, topped with a dollop of good old-fashioned vanilla ice cream. Sometimes life’s simple pleasures are best.
