Summer Hill isn't short on cafes but the standout is this simple space serving great Coffee Alchemy brews, and a menu with enticing Middle Eastern flair. Bases are covered for eggy breakfasts, or start sweet with berry-and-honey-topped orange and ricotta pancakes. From noon, lunch includes the likes of flavour-packed imam bayeldi (eggplant stuffed with pine nuts and sultanas, complemented by creamy labna), a sensational steak sandwich, tempting mezze plate, and hearty lamb shoulder pie with pumpkin, peas and gravy. Sociable staff and a courtyard out back are just bonuses.
