Modern Australian

A couple of blocks down from the main Chapel drag, this brick and stucco Art Deco hotel draws a cashed-up Prahran crowd. An imposing, U-shaped black stone bar dominates the front of the pub, with stools and high tables lining the walls, footy on big screens and a circular booth ideal for intimate parties. Beyond the bar is a dining space on the left and a more casual space on the right. A good beer list includes St Arnou Pilsner, Fat Yak and Mountain Goat Steam Ale, while the wine list is so extensive it tires the eyes. The menu provides snacking options such as Spanish meatballs and duck spring rolls.
