Japanese
No one can accuse this frequently packed restaurant of false advertising. While there are good renditions of other faves like gyoza, stir-fried tofu and soba noodles to be had, it's the ramen soups - huge bowls of steaming broth, noodles, and a choice of vegies, meats and seafoods - that have justifiably made the place a local favourite. It's often crowded but the decor is a notch above your run-of-the-mill noodle bar and low prices are another bonus. More a place to fuel up than a destination in itself, perfunctory but swift service will have you in and out in no time.
