Riley Street Cafe & Wine

Italian$$

Gabrielle Webster loves wine. She also loves to share, so much so, she’s opened this wine bar serving her personal collection. Food rates highly on the love list, too. Up until 3pm the bar works as a cafe, serving Italian-themed eggs, salads and whatever Webster and chef Francesco Di Gioia fancy. The nighttime offerings are equally random, ranging from artisanal cheeses and meats to produce-driven salads or homely baked pasta dishes. The servings are small, simple and carefully constructed to match Webster’s expressive wine list. It all happens in an alley-like bar that opens into an apartment lobby. It’s improvised, but like the menu, it works.
