This corner pub serves up delicious dinners for hungry locals at the central bar. The wagyu burger with fries, venison and speck pie with red cabbage and Sunday roast with all the trimmings are all worth the visit. A good range of beers and a simple but comprehensive wine list make this a perfect spot for a long, leisurely lunch or dinner with friends and family. Staff are helpful, and kids are welcome. Desserts of salted caramel sundaes, meringues with passion fruit curd, and warm marmalade pudding with ice-cream are all must-haves. Note well that the short but perfectly formed pizza menu ($20 each) is a bargain two for one on Tuesdays. And the fine diner upstairs is excellent.
