Rocksia Hotel

Modern Australian$$$

The Rocksia Hotel is a pub food superstar. The building is a modernist eyeful with a separate casual eatery and bar that spills out onto a spacious deck. Chefs are kept busy working from a huge, seasonally changing menu. The mezze plate for two is generous, with a stack of toasted Turkish bread and wonderful dips. The lamb shanks frolic in a red wine sauce on a creamy pat of mashed potatoes, with a thatch of rocket on top; the caramelised meat slides off the bone. The pork belly with colcannon, spiced apple and braised fennel is seriously good, too.
