Royal Albert Hotel

$$

Hip without being solely the domain of hipsters, this small and intimate public house was quick to jump on the dumpling train. Now that the dust has settled on the proverbial hanging birdcages and bike, it’s simply a pleasant local where beer-drinking women and men commune over Shanghai soup dumplings, discussing the relative merits of the great range of craft brews. Load up on sugarcane seafood sticks and flavour some crab, prawn and spinach dumplings, dabble in their better-than average wine list, before rounding things out with dessert. Sure, chocolate spring rolls and dumplings might not be authentic, but they are good.
