Local opinion is divided as to whether Santini or nearby Paolo's is the best Italian in Torquay - but both are worthy of a visit. Framed black-and-white prints of Sophia Loren adorn the simple brick walls of this old-fashioned shopfront restaurant on the esplanade. The real drawcard is authentic house-made pasta, perfectly crisp wood-fired pizza and a selection of rich, homemade gelati.
