Satsuki

Japanese$$

Ultra-simple decor belies the subtle complexity of the tantalising Japanese dishes here. Elegantly balanced flavours enhance each dish's main ingredient making even a simple eggplant tempura with sweet miso glaze a standout. There may also be plump and crispy salmon gyoza with a spicy kick, and warm and tender seared peppered tuna salad with baby spinach and peppercorns. The pan-fried thinly sliced beef in home-made yakiniku sauce is lovely and tender. Service is sweet; it's no surprise this tiny place is busy- it's definitely best to book.
